White and cool LED lights contain blue and green wavelengths that signal daytime to the brain. Even brief exposure at night can suppress melatonin and make it harder to return to sleep. Red light sits outside that stimulating range, which means it provides enough visibility to move safely without sending a wake-up signal to your nervous system.

The built-in sensor detects movement within its range and activates the light automatically. Once the area is still for approximately 30 seconds, it switches off again. There are no buttons to press and nothing to adjust. It works entirely on its own.
